In one lesson, our task was to capture movement of different objects through shutter speed. This task was quite difficult because the room we were shooting in was quite dull, so I had to adjust the camera's settings to get everything perfect.
Pine Cones
My first shoot was with pinecones. This was incredibly difficult because to capture the movement, the lighting had to be perfect.
The pine cones were originally on a table in the middle of the room, but the lighting was too dark; I moved it nearer to the window to brighten the image.
Best of the Pine Cones
I think that this is my best image because it has the best lighting out of all of them. I also like the hand in the photograph, because it makes it capture more movement.
Worst of the Pine Cones
I think this is my worst photo because it's very dark and doesn't capture any movement. The light focuses more on the piece of paper in the background than on the actual pinecone.
Water
The second shoot was with water and a tray. I wanted to capture the many different movements of the water hitting the tray
Coloured Match Sticks
The third shoot was with different coloured match sticks. This was my favourite shoot because of the colours that mixed together in the photo.
